Burke Lake Park Campgroud
Hey All!...
I hope that everyone is as excited as I am about camping the weekend of May 17, 2002. I talked to the Burke Lake Campground and they have us PAID and registered for CAMP AREA A. This years spring camping event is slated to be a blast. Bring your fishing poles along and I will bring the worms. Also, there is frisbee golf and there are a number of folks that are going to go tee off on Sunday
morning. If you are at all timid about camping - just grab a tent, a pillow, and a sleeping bag/blanket and come join us - there is always a bunch of food and we would not want anything to go to waste. A number of dens are going to do den cooking and the boys will have enough food for all. We will also have the fire going for evening hotdog roast.
Pack 146 usually stays in CAMP AREA A.
Here is a map to the area and there will be a number of signs that point you to Area A.
Enter the park, bear left and keep driving. You will eventually go around the lake which is on your right. The road will run up to the ranger's cabin, on your left. Stop in the cabin and get a registration for your vehicle, and to make sure there are no last minute changes.
Bring your fishing poles, worms may be bought at the lake.
Frisbee Golf course on site.
Bring a canoe!
