You're right! It's popcorn time again.</div> <bR> <div> What an exciting popcorn season we have planned this year. Keep reading this email to learn more about how you can earn lots of great prizes just for selling some popcorn.</div> <bR> <div> Camping equipment, portable radio, sleeping bag, backpack, digital camera, 2-room tent, baseball jersey</div> <div>  ---- these are just a few of the great prizes that you can earn by selling popcorn this fall.</div> <bR> <div> Ok, Moms, Dads, and scouts, by now you should have received your Xtreme</div> <div> <FONT SIZE="3" COLOR="#000000" FACE="Arial" >Fun popcorn order form and prize sheet in the mail from</FONT><B> </B><A HREF="http://www.trails-end.com" TARGET="_top" TITLE="http://www.trails-end.com"><U><B>Trail's End (our popcorn company)</B></U></A><FONT SIZE="3" COLOR="#000000" FACE="Arial" >. </FONT></div> <div> That means that you can start taking popcorn orders now by filling out the order form for each sale that you make. That's right, you can start NOW selling to family, friends, and neighbors. Just have them fill out a line on your order form so you can keep track of who ordered what. They don't have to pay now, not until the popcorn comes in. (See below for more details on how to sell...) We will also be handing out forms at our upcoming pack meetings.</div> <bR> <div> Popcorn selling is our single and primary fund raiser throughout the year. It only take a small amount of participation from each scout to make it a success. This fund raiser isn't just for the "other scouts",</div> <div> it's for you! Please plan to sell at least a few boxes of popcorn to help out with this great cause. The pack uses the funds raised to do some great things for the pack including sponsoring pack camping trips</div> <div> and purchasing equipment for the pack!</div> <bR> <div> The product line up this year is similar to last year. We will be selling microwave popcorn and pre-popped popcorn and carmel covered popcorn in tins. The new product for this year will be microwave Kettle Corn. I'll bet you can smell it popping now :-)</div> <bR> <div> Here is some details on what we will be doing.</div> <bR> <div> - There are 3 types of popcorn selling that we do. Pre-sales,</div> <div> Show-and-Sell, and Booth Sales. Pre-sales is when you sell popcorn between now and mid-October with only your order form in hand. That's right, starting NOW... Go on out, bring your order form and start</div> <div> selling to family, friends, and neighbors. (You're probably familiarwith this type of selling, this is how the girl scouts sell cookies. You take orders and tell customers that you will deliver the popcorn and</div> <div> collect money in mid-October. Another type of selling that we do is called Show-and-sell, this is when you sell popcorn starting in mid-October when you can have the popcorn in hand, show the popcorn and</div> <div> sell, sell, sell !! And finally, Booth Sales is the type of selling where we set up a booth or table in front of a store, or at our school craft fair, or outside of our church and sell to passers-by... Again, another very effective and easy way to sell popcorn!</div> <div> - Don't forget, when you take pre-orders you shouldn't take payment until your deliver popcorn to the customer</div> <div> - When you do Show-and-Sell, you will take payment for the order at the time of the sale</div> <div> - During the upcoming weeks we will give you more information on how to tell us how many boxes you sold on order</div> <div> - Once we get our big shipment of popcorn we will have designated times to come pickup your boxes. The popcorn pickup will likely be at the Popcorn Kernel's house. You can pickup enough boxes to fill your orders</div> <div> and to do show-and-sell popcorn selling. You will not have to pre-pay the popcorn kernel for your popcorn. We will continue to allow you to sign out boxes of popcorn and pay us once you sell the boxes. But</div> <div> please, only take as much as you can sell... No returns to the kernel !!</div> <bR> <div> - Show-and-sell is very effective, we have found that you can typically sell to 3 out of 5 houses!</div> <div> - Be sure and read the "Safety Tips" and "Selling Tips" on the order form. They are very important!
